Greetings,
My name is Allen Richburg and I currently serve here at McEachern
Methodist as Minister of Evangelism.
I received Christ as my Savior and Sovereign as a young child
and have walked with Him now for forty-five years. My hobbies
are motorcycle riding, automobile restoration and weight training.
As
a student I worshiped in a highly evangelistic congregation
in Mobile, Alabama where the essentials of my Christian faith
were firmly established. I received a call from our Lord in
1975, and was licensed for the gospel ministry that year.
I attended the University of Mobile where I earned my undergraduate
degree and then enrolled in seminary and graduated in 1979.
Upon graduation, I was called to Walnut Street Baptist Church
where I was ordained in 1979.
In
1983, while church planting in Colorado Springs, Colorado
I married my wife Joni, who is a native of Colorado. We have
been married for twenty-four years. Before coming to McEachern
Methodist, I served our Lord in the areas of Student Ministry,
Missions, Church Planting, Street Evangelism, Christian Education,
Church Administration, Small Group Development and Teaching
Pastor.
In
my current position, I serve as Minister of Evangelism
where my duties include teaching in our contemporary service
(Transformation)
and evangelism training for our entire congregation as well
as our Monday Night Outreach.
The
genuine desire of my heart is to know our Lord as He knows
me and to experience him as my functional source of life.
His
Servant and Your Friend,
Allen
