McEachern Memorial UMC cares about its members and the community and we seek to show it in very practical ways. Whether you have experienced a death, are ill, are homebound, in need of a real live person to talk to and pray with, or if you need support for an array of other things, McEachern cares and wants to do all we can to be present with you in your struggle. We exist to touch your heart and to help you feel Christ’s presence and experience God’s grace.
If you have a care ministry idea, please share it with us and become a partner in ministry.
Christ Makes the Difference!!!
Senior Associate Pastor
Care and Concern Ministry
Hospital Visitation is done by one of our pastors. If you are ever sent to a hospital, please notify the church office during office hours at (770) 943-3008. If it is after office hours, please call the Emergency Pastoral Care Hotline at (770) 943-3008 extension 6030 and a pastor will speak with you right away. You may also contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Monday Morning Ministers
The Monday Morning Ministers group is comprised of committed, dedicated people who meet every Monday at 10:30am to send cards to members and others in the community who are on our prayer list or who are going through a tough time. The group prays for those who will be receiving the cards and then writes a note of comfort and concern to the person or family. If you’d like to be a part of this vital ministry, please contact email@example.com.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
PSM is a ministry that meets on Thursdays in 2 sessions. One is from 9:30am-noon and the other is from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Participants come together to join in contemplative prayer and to crochet and knit shawls for those in hospitals or home with serious illness. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Homebound Visitation – “McEachern Friends”
McEachern Friends is a wonderful ministry of McEachern members matched with people who are ill at home, in nursing homes, in assisted living, and rehabilitation centers. McEachern Friends meet with homebound members regularly to talk, to pray, and to spend time together. If you are in need of a McEachern Friend or if you would like to become one, please contact email@example.com.
Communion is served each first Sunday of the month at McEachern. We understand that there are those who cannot come to church due to prolonged illness or because they are in a nursing home, rehabilitation center or assisted living facility. If this is your situation, we will bring the sacrament to you. If you are in need of homebound communion or if you would like to become a homebound communion server, please contact Diane Huie at firstname.lastname@example.org or Sally Sutton at email@example.com.

Celebrate Recovery Ministry
Do you ever know the right thing to do but don’t do it?
Do you desire hope for a better future for your life?
Do you desire freedom, peace and happiness?
If you answered yes to any of these questions you are not alone. They’re about people who sit as close to us as the next pew. These words identify problems people struggle with that sermons or bible studies alone won’t solve. But there is a way to help the hurting move beyond their hurts, hang-ups, and habits to experience the healing and liberty of Christ through the recovery process using a 12 step program.
If you have been a part of a 12 step program, have been clean long term, are still battling addiction as of yesterday, today, or 20 minutes ago, Celebrate Recovery at McEachern welcomes you. Since 1991, more than 700,000 people have participated in the Celebrate Recovery programs offered at more than 17,000 churches, prisons, and rescue missions. Celebrate Recovery draws from the Beatitudes to help people resolve painful problems involving addictions.
Come together with us and discover new levels of care, acceptance, trust, and grace. No judgment! No name calling! No shaming!
