MOPS began in 1973 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, when eight mothers with preschool aged children decided they needed a support program. Now their concept has grown into a flourishing nonprofit ministry called MOPS International whose goal is to nurture every woman's needs to the glory of God.

Mops Int'l reaches more than 2.5 million moms through groups such as this one, as well as through its MOMSense magazine, radio programs, book publishing, the Internet and various special events. When you join a MOPS group, you become part of a network of moms in more than 2500 chartered groups in 13 different countries! Though it sometimes may not feel like it when your toddler is throwing a tantrum, you're struggling to change the baby's diaper and dinner is boiling over on the stove, you are truly not alone!
