The
Children’s Ministry at McEachern Memorial UMC is proud to
share with you our vision and purpose. As part of this awesome
ministry, the Nursery has taken on a new look as well. While
still part of the “TreeHouse”, we see our nursery as a special
place for extra nurturing and love. The purpose of our Nursery
Department is to provide a safe, loving, fun and comfortable
environment for your child so that you may worship and serve
the Lord. Everything we do here at McEachern is aimed at one
goal – bringing people of every age to Christ. We believe
our nurseries play a big part in reaching that goal. Even
our littlest ones follow a curriculum and we believe that
we are laying the foundation as they begin their faith journey.
Our
children’s ministry exists to partner with families in teaching
every child how to love God with all of their heart, love
their neighbor as themselves and share with others the message
of Christ.
Our
vision is to partner with families in reaching every child,
encouraging them along in their faith journey, and guiding
them toward a committed relationship with Jesus Christ.
Even
the birds find a home there, and the swallow builds a nest,
where she can protect her young near your alters, O LORD WHO
RULES OVER ALL, my king and my God. ~ Psalm 84:3
Nursery
Ministry Goals:
- For
children to know:
- They
are loved.
- They
are special.
- Jesus
is their friend.
- For
children to have a foundation of prayer:
- To
know that they are prayed for and that they can pray
for others.
- For
our 3 year olds to begin to learn the Lord’s Prayer.
We
strive to provide a loving atmosphere for our children during
all church activities. We offer nine nurseries on Sunday
morning and weekday nurseries throughout the week where the
children and their parents feel loved. We offer a Nursery
Orientation two times a year, with individual orientations
given as requested.
