Shaun grew up in
Macon, GA. Shaun came to accept Jesus as his personal Lord
and Savior through an open gym basketball ministry at the
age of 17. Feeling a heart for service and evangelism Shaun
began volunteering in Upward Sports ministries and youth ministries
at the age of 19 and continued doing so through college. It
was through these interactions that he realized that God was
calling him to full time Christian service. Hearing the call
he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations at Atlanta
Christian College in East Point, GA.
Shaun met his
future wife, Laura, at church. Her father is a youth minister
and the man that led Shaun to the Lord and later discipled
him in the Christian Faith. Shaun and Laura were married in
the spring of 2005 and moved to Paulding County that summer.
It was through searching for Upward Programs in the area that
they came to McEachern. After a Monday night visitation by
Allen Richburg, Shaun was hired as an Assistant Director or
Recreation under Craig Lafontaine in December of 2005. In
April of 2006 Shaun assumed full responsibility of the Minister
of Recreation position at McEachern.
