How do I know that God is really there for me?

God is there for you! He is always seeking to have a relationship with us. If you have decided to have a relationship with Him, the Bible says that He will never leave you ("Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" - Hebrews 13:5). God also promises that no one can take you away from Him ("no one can snatch them out of my hand" - John 10:27).

Sometimes we feel it is hard for us to trust Him because we have been hurt by people before. Some of us really hurt. But Jesus is our friend. He is the only one that, no matter what happens, will never let us down or dissappoint us.

Even though God is unseen, like the air we breathe, He is life giving and life sustaining.

"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each of us." - Acts 17:24-27
