Transformation
Band
The
Transformation Band is the Praise and Worship band from McEachern
Memorial United Methodist Church in Powder Springs, GA. McEachern
UMC and it’s members have been serving Christ for more
than 150 years on this same location at the crossroads of
two major roads located in West Cobb County.
The
Transformation Band plays weekly at the 11:00 AM Sunday contemporary
service named the Transformation Service. This high energy
service features contemporary Praise and Worship music, dynamic
preaching with a challenging and relevant message. The band
has been playing together in various forms in and around McEachern
and West Cobb since 1999. The Transformation Band sound can
best be described as Christ centered, Praise and Worship featuring
a guitar and keyboard driven classic rock sound. In contrast,
the band is at home switching gears and frequently plays acoustic
country, traditional and updated hymns with a variety of instruments
including the accordion and “friends” that bring
the mandolin and banjo.
The
Transformation Band has played in and around Georgia as a
group and frequently offers their services for fund raising
events. Recently the band played a full Praise and Worship
concert at Hancock State Prison in Sparta, GA.
