Do I need to register my child for programs?

No, but it is helpful to us to have the information so we can expect your child. You may simply bring your child at the program time and we will place them in the age appropriate Sunday School class or program. A registration form can be completed when you arrive.

Is there nursery available during Bible studies?

We offer free nursery to all participants in Bible studies, worship services, or other programs and events sponsored by the church for children birth to 5th grade by a paid staff of caring individuals. It is helpful for you to register your child for nursery ahead of time for times other than Sunday mornings. You may do this by sending an email to Susan Koopman, Nursery Director at Please include your name, child’s name and age, and the date/time you need.

How can I get involved with Childrens Ministry?

We are blessed to have a thriving Children’s Ministry at McEachern Memorial UMC. We depend on volunteers to assist with programs and special events. If you are interested in volunteering, email DeDe Reilly at

If this is the first time your child is participating in Children's Sunday school?

Children 0-4 years old are checked in at the nursery on the ground floor of the Christian Life Center beginning at 9:00 am.

Children Kindergarten-5th grade begin in the Children’s Welcome Center. The Children’s Welcome Center opens from 9-9:30 am and again from 10:30-10:45 am each Sunday. The Children’s Welcome Center is located on the ground floor of the Christian Life Center, room #115.

Where do I take my child on Sunday mornings?

If you come at 9:30 am, the children have Sunday school classes. They are located on the lower level of the Christian Life Center. You may contact the Children’s Ministry department ahead of time or you may simply come and meet the leaders during Large Group Worship. At 11:00 am children age Birth – 4 years meet on the Nursery hall. Children K-5th grade are encouraged to sit with their parents in service.  After the Children’s Moment K-5th grade will be dismissed to the Children’s Welcome Center on the ground floor of the Christian Living Center. All other children should remain with their families.
